PANCHKARMA(DETOXIFICATION TREATMENT)

Panchkarma is a holistic healing regimen rooted in ancient Ayurvedic practices. It's a multifaceted approach designed to bring about equilibrium and vitality in the body, mind, and soul. Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation therapy. The word "Panchakarma" itself means "five actions" or "five treatments" in Ayurveda.

The five primary procedures of Panchakarma are:

Vamana (Therapeutic Vomiting):

This procedure involves inducing vomiting to eliminate excess mucus and toxins from the upper respiratory tract and stomach.

Virechana (Purgation Therapy):

Virechana involves the therapeutic use of laxatives to eliminate toxins from the intestines and the body.

Basti (Enema Therapy):
Basti

involves the administration of medicated enemas to cleanse the colon and remove accumulated toxins from the body.

Nasya (Nasal Administration):

Nasya involves the administration of herbal oils or medicated substances through the nasal passages to cleanse and rejuvenate the head and neck region.

Raktamokshana (Bloodletting):

This procedure involves the therapeutic removal of a small amount of blood to eliminate impurities from the bloodstream.

Panchkarma aims to balance the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), remove accumulated toxins (ama), improve digestion and metabolism, strengthen the immune system, and promote overall health and well-being.

Apart from panchkarma there are different ayurveda procedures in ayurveda for targeting different parts of the body and overall body detoxification.

SHIRODHARA

"Shirodhara" is a Ayurvedic therapy known for its relaxation and rejuvenation properties. It involves a continuous stream of warm herbal oil or other liquids poured onto the forehead in a rhythmic and continuous manner. The oil flows gently over the forehead and scalp, creating a soothing sensation. The therapy typically lasts for about 30 to 60 minutes.

Shirodhara is renowned for its ability to calm the mind, promote mental clarity, relieve stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and nourish the scalp and hair. It is used for conditions such as insomnia, headaches, anxiety disorders, and certain neurological conditions.
